Typhoon Bavi Hits
Typhoon Bavi slammed into China’s eastern province of Zhejiang late on Saturday, bringing powerful winds, torrential rain and coastal flooding after authorities moved more than two million people out of danger.

Footage filmed on Sunday shows rain lashing streets as fierce winds bend trees and drive water through flooded roads. Huge waves also pound the coast as the storm pushes inland.
No casualties were immediately reported after landfall.
Highest Alert Issued
Zhejiang raised its typhoon emergency response to Level I, the highest level, before Bavi reached the coast. Flights were cancelled, while some rail and ferry services were suspended as authorities closed exposed coastal areas and restricted transport.
Storm Moves Inland
The typhoon made landfall in Yuhuan, Taizhou, late on Saturday before moving through Zhejiang and weakening into a severe tropical storm.

Forecasters warned Bavi could still bring heavy rain, flooding, landslides and strong winds as it moved inland across eastern China.
