Python Found Inside Home

A 75-year-old woman in Chon Buri called local rescue workers for help early Tuesday morning after finding a large snake in her house.

Pailin Sappana, who lives in tambon Sattahip, found the python hiding in her storage room at 1:00 AM. She told rescue teams she was worried about the safety of her family.

Rescue Team Secures Python After Struggle

Rescue workers arrived at the house to move the reptile. The python was more than four metres long and as thick as a human leg. It fought back during the removal process.

Two rescue workers and two residents spent more than ten minutes working to get the animal under control. The team eventually managed to get the python inside a transport sack so it could be released safely back into the wild.

Prior Incidents and Homeowner’s Perspective

Ms. Pailin said she saw this same snake at her house about a month ago. At that time, she claimed the python had eaten some of her cats. She tried to grab the snake by its tail during that first visit, but it got away.

On Tuesday, she spotted the snake again when she saw its head near the roof. This sighting is what made her call the rescue center for help.

Scary Encounter Inspires Lottery Picks

The homeowner said she thinks the snake could be a spirit guardian that has lived in this area for a long time. Even with that belief, she said she could not let the snake stay at her house because it is too dangerous.

Following local custom, Ms. Pailin said she plans to buy lottery tickets using numbers related to this event. She will use her house number (73/22), the snake’s length of four metres, and her age, 75, for her picks.
