Two Playful Monkeys Caught Drinking Beer Together At Popular Island Tourist Attraction

In a popular tourist spot in Indonesia, viewers were treated to an unusual sight when they saw two playful monkeys drinking beer directly from the bottle. The rare moment was videotaped and met with immediate interest because the animals seemed to be taking turns in drinking from the bottles as they sat amongst the rocks near the coast.

The footage showed one monkey picking up a green glass beer bottle and raising it to its mouth. Within seconds the other monkey entered the scene and also seemed to be drinking from a different bottle. The display was so unusual that passers-by nearby were surprised by the behavior and were able to watch from a distance.

Unusual Animal Behavior

The monkeys seemed to be at ease in handling the bottles and around people in the crowded tourist spot. The animals were climbing the rocks holding the bottles and sometimes stopping in front of them to take a drink.

This can occur in areas where wild monkeys have frequent interactions with visitors. Wildlife experts have often reminded tourists that feeding wild animals or leaving food and drinks unattended may encourage animals to approach people more frequently.

Popular Tourist Location

In Indonesia, there are a number of tourist sites where wild monkeys live close to the beaches, forests and temples. These animals have become a familiar sight for many visitors, although unusual behavior like drinking from beer bottles is rarely captured on camera.

The short video has emphasized the potential for close encounters between the wild and tourists in busy public spaces. The monkeys continued wandering around while people watched them with curiosity. They eventually left the area carrying the beer bottles.

The incident highlights another unexpected encounter between tourists and wild animals at a popular travel destination. The more people visit the natural attractions, the more frequent encounters of wildlife and humans continue to occur.
