Movie producer Amit Jani has recently denied the allegations that his new movie, “Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy” has to do with Salman Khan’s 1998 blackbuck poaching case.

The producer, who spoke about the issue after being sent a legal notice by the actor’s team, stated that the movie is based on the larger story involving the Bishnoi community and their deep connection with wildlife.
Said Amit, “We have tried to bring that story to the screen. I have not shown Salman Khan in a negative light, nor have I glorified Lawrence Bishnoi. The film presents what is already available in the public domain and highlights the beliefs and history of the Bishnoi community.”

“Only the poster has been released. The teaser is yet to come. Sending a legal notice at this stage, without any discussion, was unnecessary,” he added.
Amit also admitted that he was being pressured due to Salman’s influence in the industry and that his team is prepared to take the case to court if needed.
It is noted that Salman’s team previously demanded an immediate halt to the development and promotion of the film, saying that the project could interfere with the ongoing judicial proceedings related to the case in Rajasthan.

It was back in 1998, Salman Khan was accused of hunting two blackbucks, an endangered species protected under the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972, in Kankani village near Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The Bishnoi community had filed a complaint against him and his “Hum Saath Saath Hain” co-stars like Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam, and Tabu of hunting two blackbucks during the shooting of the film.
