A video from the White House Correspondents’ Dinner has spread widely online after showing a woman collecting wine bottles during an emergency evacuation. The incident happened at the Washington Hilton after reports of gunfire near the event. Guests were asked to leave quickly as security officers responded to the situation.

The video captures a tense moment inside the hall. People in formal clothes are seen leaving their tables in a hurry. While many moved toward exits, one woman was seen calmly picking up unopened bottles of wine and champagne from nearby tables. The scene took place shortly after a suspect was stopped outside the ballroom.
Chaos Inside the Hall
Authorities later confirmed that a man carrying weapons was detained near the venue. He was identified as 31-year-old Cole Allen. His arrest led to the immediate evacuation of President Donald Trump and other important officials attending the dinner. Efforts were made to evacuate the area and keep people safe.

In the chaos, numerous tables were left with food and drink. The meal was in the salad stage, and there were a number of bottles still to open. This left a situation where people left behind their belongings as they attempted to safely exit the room.
Unusual Moments Caught
The video also shows other unusual moments during the evacuation. CAA super-agent Michael Glantz was seen sitting at his table and eating his salad while the situation unfolded around him. His calm behavior stood out as others rushed to exit the venue.

The woman collecting bottles has not been identified. It is also unclear whether she was a member of the press or another invited guest. Additional footage suggests that she was not the only person who took items while leaving the hall.
Investigation Continues
Officials confirmed that Cole Allen was taken into custody and later sent to a hospital for evaluation. Police are still working to determine his motives. Early findings suggest that he may have acted alone.
Allen is expected to appear in court on April 27. Meanwhile, the dinner event will be rescheduled at a later date as organizers review security arrangements following the incident.
