A phone-snatching case on a busy highway has taken place and been captured on camera, raising awareness of the dangers of the road and crimes.

The incident took place along Tebrau Highway, where a motorcyclist targeted an elderly man in broad daylight.
Incident captured on camera
The video depicts two motorcycles riding sideways on the highway. The suspect is riding a motorcycle, and one of those riders is believed to be him, as he approaches a 60-year-old man on another motorcycle. Within a couple of seconds, the offender reaches out and snatches an object off of the victim.

The victim appears to fail to react instantly to the suspect driving off. The incident was rather fast, and the victim had little time to avoid theft. There are other vehicles in the vicinity as well, indicating how the road was busy at the time.
Victim and suspect details
Police later confirmed that the victim is a 60-year-old man. He was riding along the highway when the incident occurred. Authorities did not report serious injuries, but the victim was left shaken after the incident.

The suspect is a 39-year-old man. Police records indicate that he has a lengthy criminal record. Investigators revealed that he holds 33 past records, many of which are related to drug offenses. He also tested positive for methamphetamine after his arrest.
Arrest and police action
Officers arrested the suspect in the Kota Tinggi area at around 12.30pm. The operation was carried out after police reviewed evidence and tracked the suspect’s movements.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to gather more details about the case. They are also checking if the suspect was involved in other similar crimes. Police stated that further updates will be released as the investigation progresses.
