He Called It ‘Cost-Saving’—S’porean Girlfriend Found Out BF Shared a Room With 2 Female Colleagues
Facebook

A young woman from Singapore recently had a personal experience that sparked a discussion on social media. The young woman, who had been in a relationship for 6.5 years, learned that her boyfriend had booked a trip to Malaysia with two female colleagues. At first, she didn’t pay much attention to the matter because he had described it as a work trip.

However, her suspicions grew as her boyfriend’s behavior changed over time. Later, she checked her phone and found out that the three of them had planned to stay in the same room. This information deeply hurt her and made her question the foundation of the relationship.

Lies and Suspicion

According to the young woman’s complaint in Facebook, her boyfriend had deliberately concealed the whole truth. She said that if he had told her about it earlier, the situation could have been different. Rather, resorting to lies has created a major rift in trust. The boyfriend claimed that he did not tell the truth out of fear of repercussions.

However, this argument did not seem acceptable to the young woman. Because according to him, not asking permission and hiding the truth are the main problems.

One Room Debate

The most questions were raised about the decision to stay in the same room. The boyfriend’s explanation was that a larger room was taken to save costs, and everyone would be in separate beds. However, many find this argument unusual.

The young woman’s question was, how can such an arrangement be called normal even if they are colleagues? She also said that if there was respect in the relationship, there should have been a discussion before making such a decision. This is where the differences become most acute.

Netizens’ Reactions

After the incident came to light, netizens’ reactions were mixed. Some sarcastically said that it is necessary to think about how the lover would have reacted if the situation was reversed. Others made comparative comments and turned the incident into a humorous one. Many guardian voices issued warnings, saying that it is better to leave the relationship quickly than to drag it into such a relationship.

According to them, a relationship cannot heal without trust.

Future of The Relationship

The young woman herself admitted that the decision to leave this relationship was not easy. The memories of spending a long time together have left her in doubt. However, she also understands that if such an incident happens again in the future, the pain will increase.

A large section of netizens believe that this incident is not just an example of jealousy but also a lack of transparency. So truth and trust are the most important things to keep a relationship alive. Ultimately, this incident brings to the fore the real challenges of modern relationships.
