Popular Malaysian actress Zarina Anjoulie Lavocah Mohd Fahizul has recently created a lot of buzz on social media threads. She went viral after auctioning off a used Victoria’s Secret bra. The 39-year-old actress said that it was a preloved item and would be sold to the highest bidder.

The starting price of the auction was RM1,588 (S$502). In a short time, this post caught the attention of netizens. The issue has started a new debate in the entertainment world.

Bidding Competition

After the auction started, Zarina herself started giving regular updates. At one point, when the bid increased to RM3,100, she encouraged her followers to bid even higher. Later, she said that a married couple bid RM4,200. Even then, she did not stop and called for a higher bid.

Finally, after a continuous decline in the price, the bra was sold for RM5,800 (S$1834). She only shared the proof of payment, keeping the identity of the buyer secret.

Criticism and Response

Criticism also started on social media surrounding this auction. Some commented that selling personal clothes was indecent. However, Zarina clearly stated that she uses social media to earn money, not to get anyone’s approval.

According to her, the opinions of others have no impact on her bank balance. She also said that if someone does not like her style, it is their own business. This statement added fuel to the fire of discussion.

Previous Controversies

This is not Zarina’s first controversy. In October last year, she faced criticism for sharing a picture with a man known as ‘Hot Daddy’. She also called for subscribing to a Telegram channel. At that time, many people accused her of indecent content, but she denied it. According to Zarina, she always knows how to be in the discussion. As a result, this time too, she has come to the center of discussion.
