Even at the age of 76, Uncle Tony continues to work tirelessly in the service of humanity. He is the founder of a voluntary organization called ‘Food 4 U,’ which has been providing food, shelter and medical services to helpless people for the past 11 years.

He was once a successful businessman, financially well-off and content. Yet, at a certain point in his life, he realized that making money alone cannot be the ultimate goal of life. That realization drew him to the path of human service.

Heart-touching Beginning

Uncle Tony’s journey began many years ago, when he was working as a salesman in his youth. One day during lunch, a beggar came and sat next to him and told him about his hunger. He shared the food with the man and paid the bill himself.

That was when a deep feeling was born in his heart, which changed him for the rest of his life. At that moment, he understood that standing by the side of people was the true purpose of his life. That feeling grew stronger with time.

Later, he started ‘Food 4 U’ with the money he got from selling his business. First, family and relatives came forward, then friends joined in. Gradually, word of this initiative spread by word of mouth, and ordinary people also started donating.

Currently, this organization goes out on the streets five days a week to provide lunch and dinner. Preparation work starts at six in the morning and continues until evening.

New Challenge

Recently, ‘Food for You’ has opened a shelter, where people living on the streets, discharged from hospitals, or without families are being housed. However, this is where Uncle Tony is facing a new challenge.

The number of homeless elderly people in the city is increasing, but shelter space is limited. So he dreams of building more shelters. According to him, this work becomes a joy if there is desire and sincerity.

Reaction on Social Media

As soon as this humane story spread on social media, millions of people reacted. Many praised Uncle Tony’s generous heart and blessed him. Some say that the rich people of the society should come forward to do more such work.

On the other hand, some netizens believe that it is also important to provide work opportunities to the homeless in the long run.

All in all, despite the discussion and debate, Uncle Tony’s initiative has made people think.
