Singapore’s national tennis player, Shaheed Alam, and local content creator Kevin or more familiar as @/radical_kindness_ on TikTok, took to the court in a playful yet meaningful challenge, with the loser pledging $500 to charity.
The match, uploaded on TikTok, was part of Project Love-All, Shaheed’s initiative using tennis to support the migrant worker community.
To even the odds, Kevin was spotted with a five-point lead in their race to 10. Commentating on his performance, he joked about nerves, slippery courts, and his “zero backhand.” Just giving multiple excuses, really.
Still, he managed one highlight: firing an ace past Singapore’s top-ranked player.
“Have you all aced Singapore’s best tennis player? I don’t think so,” he quipped after landing the serve, his only point of the game.
From Friendly Rivalry to Real Impact
Despite Kevin’s early advantage, Shaheed steadily closed the gap and secured a 10–6 win. True to his word, Kevin donated S$500 to the cause.
This lighthearted encounter added to the wider fundraising success of Project Love-All’s latest event, which supported the non-profit ItsRainingRaincoats (IRR).
The full initiative raised over S$22,000 and drew more than 100 attendees, including participants, volunteers, families, and partners
More Than Just a Game
Since its launch in 2020, Project Love-All has used tennis as a bridge to promote kindness and inclusivity.
Shaheed’s words after the match reflected the initiative’s spirit:
“Treat everybody like how you want to be treated. Spread kindness, and just make the world a better place.”
Notable Challenge: Racing Against IShowSpeed
Beyond the tennis court, Kevin has built a reputation for bold and entertaining challenges. In September 2024, he went viral after facing off against American streamer IShowSpeed in a footrace at Kampong Glam, with S$10,000 at stake.
Although Speed sprinted to victory, the contest captured Kevin’s trademark humor, confidence, and creativity—qualities that continue to shape his content and public persona.
Serving Kindness Beyond the Court
In the end, the match wasn’t about the scoreline, but about rallying support for Singapore’s migrant worker community, and proving that kindness can be served in more ways than one.
With every ace, rally, and laugh shared on court, Project Love-All continues to show how sport can bring people together for a greater purpose.
