‘They Never Stopped’: Four Charged in Sydney Teen’s Six-Hour Gang Rape Ordeal

Girl Allegedly Assaulted for Hours After Being Approached at Mall

On 15 December 2024, a 17-year-old girl was allegedly gang raped over a six-hour period in Sydney’s south-west after being approached by a teenage boy at a shopping centre.

Four individuals—two adults and two minors—have since been charged with multiple sexual offences, including aggravated sexual assault and sexual intercourse without consent.

Charges were formally laid between 20 December 2024 and 18 June 2025.

Ordeal Began in Liverpool, Ended in Sadleir

According to police, the teenage girl was approached at around 5:30pm by a 16-year-old boy she did not know, at a shopping centre in Liverpool. After a short conversation, he allegedly followed her to the car park. Once inside her car—where she had reluctantly let him continue their conversation—he allegedly began sexually assaulting her while making a live video call to his co-accused.

The boy then allegedly refused to exit the vehicle unless she drove him to Wheat Park in nearby Sadleir. Hoping to get him to leave, the girl complied.

At the park, two more teenage males entered the vehicle and also allegedly assaulted her. A fourth male caame by in a separate car and joined the assault. Police say the four took control of the girl’s vehicle and drove her through the suburbs of Sadleir and Miller, all while continuing to sexually assault and verbally degrade her. At times, multiple offenders allegedly assaulted the girl simultaneously.

“Pack Behaviour” and Ongoing Assault

Investigators allege the group acted in concert, encouraging each other during the prolonged assault. Two of the accused left the vehicle at some point, but the remaining pair allegedly returned to Wheat Park and continued the attack.

At approximately 11:30pm—more than six hours after it began—the girl was finally left alone. She called a friend, who then drove her to Liverpool Police Station. There, she reported the assault and received immediate medical support.

Police Praise Victim’s Strength

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Sex Crime Squad launched an investigation based on the victim’s detailed account. Police say her courage and clarity played a crucial role in identifying the suspects.

Police arrested the 16-year-old boy five days after the incident on 20 December at a Condell Park home and charged him with 24 offences, including nine counts of sexual intercourse without consent and eight counts of aggravated sexual assault in company.

That same day, police arrested a 14-year-old boy at a home in Miller and charged him with 10 offences, including seven counts of aggravated sexual assault in company. Both boys were denied bail and appeared before a children’s court on 21 December 2024. The court will hear their case again on 11 August 2025.

Two More Arrested in June

On 18 June 2025, police arrested an 18-year-old man—who was 17 at the time of the alleged incident—at a residence in Sadleir. He was charged with nine counts of aggravated sexual assault in company and is scheduled to appear in a children’s court.

The same day, officers executed a search warrant in Heckenberg and arrested 19-year-old Adam Abdul-Hamid.

He was charged with five counts of aggravated sexual assault in company and appeared briefly in Liverpool Local Court. His lawyer did not ask for bail, but said that a request for release would be made later this month. The case has been put off until 13 August at the Campbelltown Local Court.

Police: The attack was not planned ahead of time

Police say that the attack did not seem to be planned ahead of time; but rather just got worse quickly after the girl was approached. Investigators said the group’s actions were “pack-like” and “degrading.” They said the attack left the victim traumatized and likely to have emotional problems for a long time.

Authorities do not suspect anyone else was involved. The investigation is still going on, but the police say they have caught all of the known suspects.
