A red car seen carrying an excessive load of various items, including garbage, baskets, and a bed frame, was spotted on the Dengkil-Banting road in Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia.
Some of these items fell off the vehicle onto the road, creating a hazard for other motorists.
Items Fell off Vehicle, Causing Traffic Disruption
On Monday, May 19, 2025, a video surfaced on social media showing a car overloaded with items tied to its roof and sides.
A follow-up video showed some of these items falling onto the road, obstructing traffic and nearly causing collisions.
Police Quickly Identify Driver and Seize Vehicle
According to Sepang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Norhizam Bahaman, police found the viral video at around 10 a.m. and located the vehicle about an hour later on the same road, Harian Metro reported.
The 59-year-old driver was found to possess a valid driving license, and the vehicle had complete documents.
The vehicle was seized under Section 60 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for further inspection and legal proceedings.
Driver Admits to Health Problems from Previous Accident
Following this, ACP Norhizam also confirmed that the driver had previously been involved in a road accident years ago, resulting in head injuries that caused ongoing health problems.
The driver explained that his health condition was related to the incident.
Police Continue Investigation and Call for Public Cooperation
Police are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter and have urged the public not to speculate or spread misinformation that could interfere with the process.
They also encourage road users to report any dangerous behavior to official authorities.
