In a Facebook post by Kasih Ika, a chilling account emerged from the streets of Jalan Pantai Sepat, Kuantan, Pahang. She posted the horrifying experience of her uncle whose journey was abruptly interrupted by a terrifying incident. It was said that while traveling from Penor heading to Tanjung Lumpur, a speeding lorry, heavily laden with iron rods flew off the lorry and struck her uncle’s arm.
The windshield shattered, forming a hole
The aftermath painted a grim picture as the once-intact front windscreen of her uncle’s Perodua Alza now bore the scars of the impact, smashed and cracked by the force of the flying rod. Subsequently, her uncle was rushed to Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA) for urgent medical assistance.
Seeking help from witnesses
Following this, she sought help from people on Facebook who were there to witness where the incident took place to cooperate and requested dashcam footage to identify the lorry driver’s identity.
As of writing, police are still investigating to identify and track down the lorry. According to NST, District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu, said the incident happened at 3.30 pm and is now under investigation according to Section 337 of the Penal Code for inflicting harm through actions that jeopardize life or personal safety.
