Nothing beats waking up a little later on weekends in search of the perfect brunch spot where you can order both breakfast and lunch food. Whether it’s normal eggs on toast, ricotta pancakes, or a bowl of pasta, hit up these locations in Singapore for delicious food and a cup of coffee.
Fancy some magic to go with your coffee? Over at C Café, co-founders Ashley Cho and Nicholas Wong might walk up to diners and dazzle them with mind-boggling card tricks. It’s a space where magic tricks and hearty grub can co-exist – two of Ashley’s passion.
Sip on brews of flat whites, or honey lattes – all made using a Brazil-Ethiopia blend from homegrown roaster Compound Coffee Co. Then, chow down on Golden Waffles with a juicy fried chicken thigh; or the Breakfast of Champions with trimmings of pork sausage, bacon, poached eggs, grilled tomatoes, and more.

Amber Ember, which is conveniently located between Serangoon and Kovan MRT stations, may be the first to offer this slice of Australian cuisine to our sunny shores. The café, which is decked out in dusty pink and warm neutrals, serves four jaffle selections with its unique purple sweet potato mash.
What exactly is a jaffle, you might wonder? It is just a closed toasted sandwich, according to the Australians, and is called after the jaffle iron, which was introduced in 1949. From cheese to beef peperoni, mushrooms and chicken, the fillings that the brioche sandwich is enclosed with at Amber Ember are tasty though so give it a try and let us know what you think!

The quaint waterfront café Publico Ristorante, located along Robertson Quay, offers a menu of Italian classics. Brunch, of course, is given an Italian makeover. On weekends, diners can get smashed avocado toast, an açai superfood bowl and other heavy brunch items from the La Mattina menu. On Fridays and Saturdays, the brunch menu expands to include heavy pasta meals and wood-fired pizza, as well as wine and beverages to help you kick back, unwind and relax.

Don’t be fooled by the plain-looking environment; the fare at Daizu Cafe is vibrant and exciting. Lemon miso eggs Benedict, garlic butter sakura ebi spaghetti, truffle mentaiko bruschetta and other distinctive brunch items arise from the fusion of Japanese flavors and Western cooking skills here. Take a seat on the outdoor balcony or climb up to the comfortable second-floor room, both of which offer ideal photo opportunities for the classic #flatlay photography.
