Woman Hits Head on Pole While “Content Creating” on Moving Train in Thailand

Content Creation Gone Wrong

A woman suffered injuries after her head collided with a pole while attempting to create online content aboard a moving train in Thailand. The incident, which was captured on video, has since gone viral, highlighting the dangers of unsafe practices for social media content.

The Incident

The PR Team of the State Railway of Thailand shared the video on their social media accounts, and it has since gone viral on platforms like Reddit. The footage shows a 19-year-old Malaysian woman descending the steps of a moving train, leaning out while holding the handrails. Unfortunately, she extended too far and her head struck a pole with significant force.

Immediate Aftermath and Injuries

The impact caused the woman to fall to her knees, visibly dazed by the collision. Following the incident, she was taken to Phatthalung Hospital where she was treated for a swollen and bruised head. Fortunately, no internal injuries were reported, and she was discharged after a thorough examination.

Official Statement from the State Railway of Thailand

Ekkarat Sriarayanphong, Chief of the Governor’s Office at the State Railway of Thailand, provided details about the incident. He confirmed that it occurred on August 5 at 3:15 PM on a train traveling from Sungai Kolok to Nakhon Si Thammarat. He emphasized the reckless nature of the behavior and the potential for severe accidents.

In response to the incident, the State Railway of Thailand has intensified safety checks and issued a reminder to passengers about the importance of adhering to safety guidelines. The State Railway of Thailand urges all passengers to prioritize their safety and that of others, ensuring a safe and pleasant journey for everyone.
