A horrific incident of violence took place at a seafood restaurant in Telok Mengkuang, Selangor, Malaysia, which went viral on social media and caused widespread panic. At around 3:30 pm on 9 April. A man suddenly started behaving agitatedly with a meat cleaver. Witnesses said that he vandalized things inside the restaurant and later became more violent when he came outside.
The incident quickly spread fear among the people and family members in the vicinity, as many people had come to eat there. Police quickly reached the spot and brought the situation under control and arrested the man. He was later taken to the hospital for treatment.
Origin of the Incident
Initial investigation revealed that the incident started with non-payment of a meal bill. The accused became agitated when the restaurant authorities asked for the bill. Then he suddenly became violent and started a rampage with the cleaver and the knife in his hand.
In this situation, the common people present started running in panic. Many families tried to quickly move to a safe place with their children. As a result, an ordinary afternoon turned into a terrible situation in an instant.
Viral Video
A huge stir has been created after the video of the incident went viral on social media. The video shows a shirtless man chasing a man with a knife. Many people were horrified to see such a scene, especially those who were outside with their families.
The video also shows some ordinary people trying to stop him. However, he resisted for a long time. This video has created new concerns about public safety.
Damage and Panic
The police said that the accused vandalized the restaurant. In addition, three private cars nearby were also damaged. Although no lives were lost in the incident, many people are mentally terrified. Especially children and family members are scared due to this incident. Local residents have also expressed concern about a repeat of such incidents.
Legal Action
The police said that a case has been registered under multiple laws in this incident. Section 353 of the Penal Code has been charged with obstructing government work, which can be punished with a maximum of two years in prison. In addition, there is a charge of vandalism under Section 427, which is punishable by one to five years in prison or a fine. At the same time, an investigation is underway under Section 6(1) of the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act for carrying dangerous weapons.
If found guilty under this section, the punishment can be imprisonment and caning. As a result, strict legal action is being taken against the accused.

The police said that more information is being collected about the incident. Information is also being taken from witnesses. At the same time, the videos circulated on social media are being analyzed. The authorities have urged the public not to spread rumors.
