Legendary Bollywood Singer Udit Narayan’s First Live Performance in Singapore

Renowned Bollywood playback singer Udit Narayan will be performing in Singapore for the first time at the Star Theatre on 23 October 2024. This eagerly awaited concert, titled “A Lovely Night with Udit Narayan,” marks his debut performance in Southeast Asia.

Who is Udit Narayan?

Udit Narayan, a household name in Bollywood, has made significant contributions to the music industry over the past three decades. Known for his versatile singing in over 36 languages, including Tamil, Bengali, Telugu, and Kannada, Udit has recorded more than 25,000 songs. His impressive repertoire has earned him 22.3 million listeners on Spotify and numerous awards across various categories.

Udit’s journey to stardom began in the 1980s with his debut performance alongside his idol, Mohamed Rafi, in the film “Unees-Bees” (1980). His breakthrough came with the song “Papa Kehte Hain” from the movie “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak” (1988), which earned him his first Filmfare Award. He has since been the voice behind many iconic Bollywood stars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Amir Khan, and Amitabh Bachchan.

Throughout his career, Udit has collaborated with legendary music directors like Anu Malik, Jatin Lalit, A. R. Rahman, Rajesh Roshan, and Shankar Mahadevan. His songs have been featured in the films of renowned directors such as Yash Chopra, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Karan Johar. Celebrated as the King of Melody, 21 of Udit’s tracks are listed in BBC’s Top 40 Bollywood Soundtracks of All Time.

Bollywood fans in Southeast Asia are eagerly anticipating this event, organized by Filloz International. The concert will take place on 23 October 2024 at 8 PM, lasting for two hours, and featuring performances in both English and Hindi.

Tickets will be available starting from 19 July on sistic.com, with an early-bird promotion offering a 15% discount on the first 400 tickets sold, valid until 31 July. General sales will commence from 1 August to 23 October, with prices as follows:

  • Gold: S$188
  • Platinum: S$388
  • Diamond: S$488
  • VIP (Meet & Greet): S$688
