A 19-year-old girl who went missing during a hiking trip in Malaysia was found dead on Monday after a four-day search operation. The tragic discovery was made near Bukit Changkat Asa in Hulu Selangor, a district in the Malaysian state of Selangor.

Nur Izzati Humaira Azizul had reportedly become separated from her family while descending the hill last Saturday morning. According to authorities, she decided to walk ahead alone because she felt hot and tired during the hike. Her family later realized she was missing and alerted emergency services.
Body Found Near Hiking Route
Assistant operations director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar from the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said rescuers found the teenager’s body at about 11.59 am on Monday. The location was around 500 metres from the last known spot where she was seen and about one kilometre from the incident control post.

Search and rescue officers used a stretcher to carry the body back to the control post. The process reportedly took around 20 minutes because of the difficult terrain and forest conditions near the hiking trail.
After the recovery operation, the body was handed over to the police before being taken to Kuala Kubu Bharu Hospital for further procedures.
Four Days Of Search Efforts
The search and rescue operation began shortly after Nur Izzati disappeared on Saturday morning. Various security and emergency agencies joined the operation, which continued for four days in the forested area around Bukit Changkat Asa.

Authorities suspended the operation on Sunday evening due to darkness and safety concerns before resuming again at 8 am on Monday. Rescue teams carefully searched the hill and nearby areas throughout the operation.
Officials said the teenager was believed to have lost her way while walking alone during the descent from the hill. The exact cause of death has not yet been announced by authorities.
Family’s Hiking Trip Ends In Tragedy
The case attracted widespread public attention in Malaysia over the past few days as rescue teams continued searching for the missing teenager. Many people closely followed updates about the operation as hopes remained high for her safe return.
Bukit Changkat Asa is a popular hiking destination among local visitors and nature lovers. The tragic incident has once again highlighted the challenges and risks that can arise during outdoor activities, especially in forested and hilly areas.
