A Surprise Bonus Plan
Taiwanese YouTuber and businesswoman Li Ke Tai announced a radical move on 10 February 2026 at a press conference about her healthcare brand, Hao Hao Biotech. She told reporters that she allowed her staff to decide their own year-end bonus.

Instead of announcing a fixed amount, she asked each employee to write down the number they felt they deserved. She then paid them exactly what they requested. The unusual move quickly drew attention online and made headlines across Taiwan.
No Traditional Review, Just Trust
Li Ke Tai Tai leads a team of 15 employees. This year, she chose not to follow the usual performance review system. She explained that her company has grown strongly, so she wanted to reward her team in a more direct way.

I allowed them to fill in themselves. Whatever they wrote was what I paid out; that was all, she said. According to sources, she believed her team would act responsibly. Her simple idea turned into a major talking point in business news.
Revenue Growth and Star Collaboration
She told journalists that the company has doubled its revenue each year when they inquired about the company performance. She credited much of this success to a collaboration with Yesung of Super Junior. The partnership increased brand visibility and helped the company reach new customers. According to UDN Taiwan, total bonus payments exceeded several million Taiwan dollars. These strong results gave her confidence to move forward with the open bonus plan.
Big Marketing Push During Concerts
The company also gained attention by supporting Super Junior concerts in Taiwan. Hao Hao Biotech provided more than 100,000 product units for fan support activities. This strategy created strong brand exposure and boosted sales quickly.

Online searches for the company increased after the concerts. The timing of the marketing campaign and the bonus announcement made the story even more interesting for business observers.
Focused on Business Growth
During the event, reporters asked whether any employee requested more than NT$100,000, about RM12,500. She confirmed that some did. She said she did not feel surprised because she believed they earned it. While she continues to handle personal legal matters in court, she remains focused on growing her company. By allowing employees to decide their own year-end bonus, Li Ke Tai Tai created one of the most talked-about business stories of the year in Taiwan.
