Dispute Over Exam Score Turns Violent
A 17-year-old secondary school student in Uthai Thani attacked his mathematics teacher after she refused to raise his midterm score from 18 to a perfect 20.

The incident happened on August 5 at a private school.
It is reported that the boy approached the teacher before class to ask about his marks.
She then explained that although his answers were correct, he had not shown his working process as required by the exam instructions, so she could not award full points.
Student Left and Returned to Ask Teacher to Increase Marks
The teacher then suggested the student speak with other mathematics teachers to get their perspective.
After consulting them and receiving the same explanation, he returned to the classroom and asked her to increase his marks.
When she refused, he kicked a desk once and left.
“You must apologise to me.”
About ten minutes later, he returned, sat a few desks away, and told her, “You must apologise to me.”
When she asked who should really be apologising, he stood up and began attacking her.

Attack Happened in Front of Classmates
According to CH3 Thailand and CCTV footage in the classroom, the boy punched the teacher repeatedly, kneed her, and kicked her in front of more than 20 female classmates.

He was the only male in the class at the time.
The assault stopped only when another male teacher stepped in.

Injuries and Police Report
Bangkok Post reported that the teacher suffered a bruised left eye, swelling on the left side of her head, and inflamed ribs.
She was treated at a hospital before filing a complaint at Nong Chang Police Station on August 8. Police scheduled her to give a full statement on August 12.
School and Family Response
Following this incident, the student’s parents contacted the teacher to apologise on his behalf, The Thaiger reported.
The school suspended him, after which he resigned. The teacher has said she will pursue legal action and stressed that disagreements over exam scores should be resolved without violence.
