10,200 Complimentary Meals for Pioneer Generation

In celebration of Singapore’s 60th National Day, OK Chicken Rice and Humfull Prawn Laksa are launching an initiative to give back to the pioneer generation. 

Their “Celebrate SG60” campaign will provide 10,200 complimentary meals to Singaporean seniors, as a tribute to those who helped build the nation.

Running from 19 July to 9 August 2025, the campaign will be held across 16 participating outlets islandwide.

Eligible seniors, Singapore citizens born in 1965 or earlier, can redeem a free meal and a limited edition SG60 OKHUM fan by simply showing up and taking a photo with the team to be included in a National Day tribute collage.

What Eligible Seniors Will Receive

Each eligible senior who participates will receive:

  • One complimentary meal: a choice between the signature chicken rice or chicken laksa.
  • A limited edition SG60 OKHUM fan.
  • Inclusion in the SG60 National Day Tribute Collage.

“This is our way of saying thank you for 60 years of heart, heritage, and hard work!”

Redemption Terms and Conditions

To manage crowd flow and maintain operations, the following redemption terms apply:

  • Eligibility: Open to all Singaporean seniors aged 60 and above (born in 1965 or earlier)
  • Redemption hours: Not valid during peak periods:-

    • Lunch: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
    • Dinner: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Daily redemption cap:

    • 60 redemptions per outlet, per day
    • 600 redemptions per outlet total
  • One redemption per person only
  • First come, first served basis

A Campaign Built on Gratitude

The initiative is fully self-funded by OK Chicken Rice and Humfull Prawn Laksa, and is not based on sales, quizzes, or purchases.

“This is our SG60 contribution. We are celebrating National Day for those of you who were born in 1965, 9th of August, or earlier,” said Daniel, the founder. “So all you have to do is turn up at any of our 16 stores and take a photo with us for the SG60 collage. Come participate with us and we’ll let you try our signature full portion chicken rice or laksa.”

Daniel also added:

“As we celebrate SG60, this campaign is our way of honoring the generation that laid the groundwork for modern Singapore. It’s not just about the meal. It’s a celebration of resilience, community, and gratitude.”

How to Participate

Seniors who meet the eligibility criteria can visit any of the 16 participating outlets between 19 July and 9 August 2025, take a photo with the team, and redeem their SG60 treat.
