Unexpected Roadside Act

A Thai motorcycle taxi rider has exposed a Russian man after a shocking public incident on a Pattaya traffic island. The event took place on 07 February in the popular tourist city. The rider, who works through a mobile ride-hailing application, recorded part of the situation and later shared it online. The short clip shows a foreign man squatting on a traffic island in the middle of a busy road. Vehicles continue moving on both sides while the rider waits nearby. The case quickly gained attention because the location sits in a crowded area of Pattaya.

Sudden Trip Disruption

Earlier that day, the rider accepted a booking from the Russian tourist, who asked to travel to his condominium. The journey went smoothly at first. Only a few hundred meters remained before they reached the destination. The passenger then sprang off the motorcycle without any notice.

The rider was disoriented and anxious. Instead of explaining, the man ran straight toward the Pattaya traffic island between the lanes. According to local outlet Check Khao Pattaya, the rider later said the tourist did not mention any emergency during the ride.

Public Defecation Scene

According to a video, the Russian man then squatted behind a small bush on the traffic island and defecated in public view. Although he tried to hide, drivers passing by could clearly see him. The rider parked on the left-hand side of the road and watched in disbelief. He said he felt shocked but decided to wait at first, hoping the situation would end quickly. Traffic continued as normal, and no officers arrived while the incident happened. The unusual behavior in such a visible place surprised many who later watched the footage.

Ride Cancelled Immediately

The situation became more uncomfortable when the rider noticed that the tourist had no tissue paper or water. The rider worried about hygiene and the condition of his motorcycle seat. Based on the viral video attachment, he decided to cancel the trip using the application instead of proceeding with the service.

The cancellation caused him to lose 32 baht. However, he preferred to accept the small financial loss instead of risking damage to his vehicle or facing further problems during the ride.

The Pattaya traffic island incident spread rapidly across Thai social media on 08 February. Several news pages reported the story, and many people expressed surprise at the behavior.

The case also reminded readers of a similar event on Koh Tao last month, where CCTV footage showed a foreign woman urinating outside a restaurant. Authorities have not confirmed any legal action against the Russian man so far. Still, the strange roadside act continues to attract attention because it happened in one of Thailand’s busiest tourist destinations.
