Sudden Robot Encounter
A quiet evening walk turned into a shocking moment for a 70-year-old woman in Macau. She was using her mobile phone when she suddenly noticed a humanoid robot standing right behind her. The unexpected sight startled her badly. According to local authorities, she felt unwell soon after the incident.

Emergency services received a call and arrived quickly to help her. She was then taken to a nearby hospital for a medical check-up. The case was noticed since these experiences of robots in the street are not common. The incident went viral and attracted the attention of people.
Police Response Scene
Police later explained that the woman had stopped on the street to check her phone. At that moment, the robot moved behind her and paused, likely waiting for her to move forward. However, the sudden presence frightened her. Officers confirmed there was no physical contact between the woman and the robot. Even so, she experienced discomfort and needed medical attention.

The officers remained on the ground to control the situation and provide security to people. One of the main points that the case focuses on is how unforeseen technology can occasionally cause people to feel confused or scared, particularly at a socializing place.
Viral Public Reaction
Social media platforms were fast to spread a video of the incident. It depicted the woman furiously facing the robot that was swinging its metal arms. It became an unusual situation in which people around were watching. This woman screamed at the robot using Cantonese, evidently angry and confused.

The robot failed to react and kept moving serenely. The scene gained general attention since it appeared weird and unexpected. Many viewers online showed curiosity about how such robots operate in everyday environments and how people react to them.
Robot Test Purpose
Authorities later confirmed that the robot was controlled by a local man in his 50s. He explained that he was testing the machine and planned to use it to promote his business. After the incident, police guided the robot away from the area. Physicians also discovered that the woman was not hurt and had no physical injuries. She even chose not to make any complaint against the operator. Although this is very unlikely, the case demonstrates how rapid technology is making its way into everyday life and that it sometimes brings unintended events to the lives of ordinary citizens.
