Huge Python Enters Thai Woman’s Home at Night, Beloved Cat Goes Missing

A 74-year-old woman in Ang Thong province, Thailand, spent an anxious night after a massive python slithered into her home in the middle of the night.

By morning, one of her five cats was missing.

The incident happened on Sunday, August 10, at a house in Bang Phlap subdistrict, Pho Thong district. Local rescue teams from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation and Ang Thong Rescue Association were called to assist.

Strange Noises in the Dark

The homeowner, identified as Kasorn, who is disabled in her left hand, said she lives alone with her cats.

She recalled waking up to unusual noises before spotting the large python entering her home, seemingly targeting her pets.

In a bid to drive it away, she used a stick and even spoke to it.

“You’ve come to bring me luck, now you can go back”, she told the snake, according to Khaosod.

Python Refused to Leave

Instead of leaving, the python climbed onto the rafters in her kitchen and stayed there. Worried, Kasorn decided to stay awake and keep watch until morning.

The following day, she contacted local rescuers for help.

Safe Capture Draws Crowd

Together, the team managed to bring the python down safely. Measuring 3.90 metres long, the snake’s capture brought relief not only to Kasorn but also to neighbours who had gathered to watch.
