Preacher Arrested for Allegedly Sharing Sex Videos of His Wives and Other Women

Second Wife’s Complaint Triggered Investigation

A preacher was taken into custody by police in Shah Alam after his second wife lodged a complaint, accusing him of distributing intimate recordings featuring herself, his other wives, and several additional women.

Shah Alam District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim, confirmed that the report was filed on June 16, which led to the suspect’s arrest and the seizure of several electronic items for further investigation.

Authorities Seized Devices Linked to Alleged Offences

According to New Straits Times, early findings showed the suspect’s mobile phones contained numerous sexual videos involving him and his wives. 

Police also came across suggestive images of other women stored on the devices, which included two phones and a laptop.

Suspect Released After Four-Day Custody Period

The suspect was remanded for four days and released on July 5, 2025, while the investigation remains ongoing.

Police have confirmed that the case is being looked into under several legal provisions:

  • Section 509 of the Penal Code, which deals with actions intended to violate someone’s modesty.
  • Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, which addresses the abuse of network services.
  • Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955, which pertains to offensive or insulting behaviour.

Police Request Public Cooperation

Investigators are encouraging the public to assist with the case. Anyone with information is urged to contact Inspector Mira Noraien Norashid.
