A Ryanair passenger has gone viral for his unconventional way of catching some sleep during a recent flight: by lying flat on the floor with his legs propped up on his seat.
The clip, which was first shared to TikTok by @/vsimpadel, showed the unidentified passenger on a three-hour flight in what many viewers described as a mix between “not bad” and “dangerous.”
His position was questionable. Instead of using the seat the way it is supposed to, he lay on his back on the cabin floor with his legs resting on the seat cushion.
His face was not visible in the footage, as it was tucked under the seat in front of him.

Clip Gained Millions of Views and Mixed Reactions
The video, which has since been viewed over 2.8 million times, stirred up strong reactions in the comments. While some found his creativity impressive, others expressed concern over the potential safety risks.
The video was captioned: “This can happen only if you fly with Ryanair….. He was like this during a three-hour flight.”
Social Media Reactions Range from Praise to Panic
The passenger’s unconventional approach sparked plenty of discussion online.
One commenter pointed out how dangerous the position could be.
While another admitted the visual alone triggered anxiety. They joked that if they were in the same position, they’d worry about not being able to get back up.
Some users surprisingly approved of the idea, admitting it did not seem like a bad way to nap on a cramped flight.
However, safety concerns were also raised. One commenter stated how this pose might delay him from accessing an oxygen mask in case of cabin pressure loss.
Others were more focused on hygiene. A few commenters were visibly disturbed by the thought of lying on the cabin floor, with one person expressing how grossed out they’d feel if their socks even touched it.
It is still unclear when exactly the flight took place or where it was headed. Ryanair has yet to comment on the video.
