“What am I supposed to do with this?” — Customer Distraught After Receiving Wrong Order of Plastic Chairs
Facebook

The baffled expression of this Burmese man has shown when ordering a Temu version of plastic chairs. In his theory, he ordered it due to affordability, yet the value of the price was compromised.

The video has reached over 386.5K views and the viewers were expressing how comical it is to see this side of “For You Page.”

The Reality of Online Shopping

Myanmar is pronounced as a third world country, yet it also shares the same sentiment as other E-Commerce sites. There were memes about how people have received the “Temu” version of their purchase, expecting exactly like they’ve ordered. In this case, he expressed that the cheaper it is, the value you have to compromise. Unfortunately, luck wasn’t on his side, however, the viewers have left mixed reactions in the comment section.

“I had to deal with this too”

“It’s better to confirm with them via proceeding with Cash On Delivery”

“I once ordered a 10 inch slim-bag from them, turns out it was 4 inches in real life. Haha.”

“Do you know how hard it is to find those cute miniature things?”

Just like the victim, some other customers had to go through with the ordeal of ordering from their page personally. One of them expressed the expectation is funnier than the reality when they’ve received the slim bag that is six inches shorter than what they’ve promised. On the other hand, one comment counter-argued about the difficulty of finding miniature chairs in general. In retrospect, the viewers were stunned yet amused by how entertaining it was.

“What I want vs What I got”

This particular caption is a memorabilia of what online shopping expectation and reality feels like. With some respondents, people usually link this with Temu, the popular E-commerce page known for selling clothes, furniture, etc. and yet they tend to deliver false results. It is common among people to make a meme out of this. Almost everyone across the world can relate to this meme while sharing the actual struggles of their pursuits in online shopping.

On the other hand, Singapore has their own “expectation vs reality” input to humor the audience. The tourists were seen opening their mouths agape to capture Merlion’s water shooting up in the sky. The expectation shows how picturesque the video has captured, but the reality of it showcases the off-balanced juxtaposition between the statue and the humans making comical poses. It creates a light-hearted yet relatable moment to relate among people. Singapore has their own version of the “Expectation vs Reality” meme, and this would be the perfect description.

The clip takes place in a fine dining restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, where the restaurateur performs an astonishing fire show directly in front of the clients, quickly creating excitement and high expectations. Viewers were anticipating an opulent revelation with such a dramatic presentation, but the aluminium sheet barely revealed three sticks of satay and a few tiny side snacks. The surprising anticipation vs reality moment swiftly emerged as the video’s most hilarious segment, leaving viewers utterly amazed at how much tension was built for such a small portion.
