A man in Guangdong, China, was brutally stabbed after his wife allegedly threw a used sanitary pad out of their apartment window, hitting a passerby and leading to a violent confrontation.

The incident unfolded when Ms. Dong, who lived with her husband Mr. Cheng, in a residential building, allegedly discarded a blood-stained sanitary pad by leaving it on their apartment’s window sill.
Lack of Attention to Hygiene; Husband Reminded Multiple Times
According to Kwong Wah, Ms. Dong had a history of neglecting household hygiene despite Mr. Cheng’s repeated requests for her to keep their living space clean.

Her lack of attention to hygiene became more evident during her menstrual cycle, contributing to the already cluttered and messy home environment.
The Sanitary Pad Mishap
One day, while Ms. Dong was taking a shower, she heard glass shattering outside. She called out to Mr. Cheng to check on the situation. Once downstairs, he found a man, identified as Mr. Li, angrily throwing stones at their window.

Turns out, Mr. Li had been hit by the sanitary pad that had fallen from their window. Humiliated and furious, he began damaging their property to express his anger.
Attempt to Apologise Ends in Knife Attack
In an attempt to calm things down, Mr. Cheng tried to apologize repeatedly, hoping to resolve the issue peacefully. However, Mr. Li was not satisfied. His anger only grew, and the argument quickly escalated.

The situation took a dangerous turn when Mr. Li left but soon returned with a knife. Believing Mr. Li only intended to scare him, Mr. Cheng stayed put.

Unfortunately, this misjudgment led to a violent attack, with Mr. Cheng being stabbed multiple times.
Severe Injuries and Possible Lifelong Disabilities
By the time Ms. Dong went downstairs, Mr. Li had already fled. She then rushed Mr. Cheng to the hospital, where doctors warned that his injuries were severe and might face a lifelong disability.

Initially, the family received sympathy from the public. However, when authorities revealed more details about the incident, opinions shifted.
Many criticized Ms. Dong’s alleged carelessness, believing her actions had directly led to the tragedy.
Wife Defends Herself, Claims Pad Was Blown by the Wind
In response to the backlash, Ms. Dong defended her actions. She claimed that she had not intentionally thrown the sanitary pad out of the window but had merely placed it on the window sill.

According to her, an unexpected gust of wind blew the pad off, leading to the unfortunate incident.
Despite her explanation, many were unconvinced. They argued that even if her story was true, leaving a used sanitary pad on a window sill was irresponsible and reckless.
Legal Investigation and Consequences
Local police are investigating the case, and Mr. Li could face serious legal consequences for the stabbing.
Meanwhile, Mr. Cheng is left to bear the consequences of his wife’s alleged actions, facing a challenging recovery and an uncertain future.
