Silly Mistake: Malaysian Accidentally Orders GrabFood From Singapore, Shocks Delivery Rider

A Delivery Gone Wrong

A Malaysian man looking for a quick meal ended up leaving both him and the rider confused after he mistakenly ordered food from Singapore through a delivery app.

The incident, posted on Facebook, quickly caught online attention for its unusual twist: the app indicated that the food was more than 600 kilometers away, with an estimated travel time of over six hours.

“I’m at the car park”

The situation unfolded when the Singapore-based rider received the order and tried to confirm the customer’s location.

The customer insisted that his house was behind the Road Transport Department (JPJ) office in Kuala Kangsar, Perak.

But the rider replied that he was waiting at a car park in Bishan, Singapore, nearly 10 hours away by motorcycle.

Why Did It Happen?

According to reports, the food was never delivered. The slip-up may have been caused by the customer forgetting to reset his app location after a recent trip to Singapore.

Others speculated that a technical issue or VPN setting tricked the app into thinking he was still in Singapore.

Social Media Users Have a Field Day

The mix-up sparked plenty of jokes online. One amused user wrote, “Strange but true.”

Another asked about the delivery fee, to which the rider jokingly replied, “$5, bro.”

Some also offered tongue-in-cheek solutions, “Just use J&T, bro, settle.”

And one person summed up the absurdity with laughter, saying, “That’s so far”

Lesson Learned

Although no food crossed the border, the mix-up highlights how easily a small mistake can spiral into a hilarious story.
