The housing crisis is nothing new, but the incident of setting up tents in the living room and renting them out has surprised many. A recent viral post on X brought to light this strange arrangement. The post shows that several tents have been set up in the hall of a house, which is being used to accommodate tenants.

According to the complaint, a fresh graduate came across this “tent room” while looking for affordable accommodation. At first, he thought it was an ordinary room, but later he saw a different reality. As soon as the incident came to light, a heated debate started online.
Unusual Arrangement
The incident started with an experience of looking at a rental. When the victim reached the house, he saw that there was no room for him. Instead, something like a disaster tent has been set up in the hall. Each tent is being rented out separately.

Four to five tents have been kept in the same place. As a result, the place has become very crowded. In addition, all the tenants have to use only one toilet.
Rent Calculation
A monthly rent of about 400 ringgit is being charged for each tent. Accordingly, the landlord is earning about 2,000 ringgit from a hall room. Many believe that such an arrangement has been made to increase this income. However, this has put the basic comfort and safety of the tenants in question.

In particular, the issue of personal privacy is completely absent. As a result, concerns are growing about the issue. Many say that it does not meet the standards of a livable environment.
Netizen’s Reaction
After the incident went viral, anger was seen among netizens. Many believe that some landlords are behaving inhumanly by exploiting people’s needs. Some say that people are forgetting humanity due to such greed.

On the other hand, some users argue that tenants should also be aware. According to them, if they see such a situation, landlords will be forced to make changes if they do not collect rent. In addition, many compare it and say that earlier there was criticism about renting small storerooms, but this incident has gone a step further.

Safety Questions
After this incident, a new discussion has started on the principles and safety of renting houses. Many say that such temporary structures can pose a great risk in case of fire or other accidents. In addition, a toilet for so many people also increases the health risk. Therefore, there is a demand for increased surveillance by the concerned authorities. At the same time, there is also talk of taking strict steps to protect the rights of tenants.
