Iran Claims Retaliatory Strike on US Air Base
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard released footage on Thursday of missile launches, saying it was targeting a ‘US air base’ in response to recent attacks from Washington.

The location and time of the footage cannot be independently verified.
“Following the assault carried out early Thursday by the US military on a site on the outskirts of Bandar Abbas Airport using aerial projectiles, the US air base from which this aggression was launched was targeted at 4:50 am,” it said.
IRGC Warns of Stronger Response if Attacks Continue
The IRGC added: “This response serves as a serious warning to let the enemy know that aggression will not go unanswered, and if repeated, our response will be even more decisive. The aggressor bears responsibility for the consequences that follow.”
US Reports Defensive Strikes Near Bandar Abbas
US media reported strikes near Bandar Abbas, the port near the Strait of Hormuz – the second such so-called ‘defensive strikes’ in just three days – with Washington saying they were limited, hitting a ‘military site’ and four drones.

The US did not confirm any attacks on its bases. Kuwait say it was responding to “hostile missile and drone threats” but the target of these – and the perpetrator – was not confirmed either.
