We rolled up to the hotel around check-in time, and honestly, the whole process was smooth like butter. From the get-go, it welcomed us with a BIG mandala guitar that you can’t help but take pictures of!
Not only that, during the check-in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and ready to help us. Their hospitality carried through the entire stay.
Our Room: Double Beds & Waterpark Views? Yes Please.
We got a Double Bed Superior Room, and the first thing we noticed was the view of the Adventure Waterpark right from our window.
Not a bad way to start the trip.
The room was spacious, super clean, and came loaded with Hard Rock’s signature comforts: a 55” Smart TV, Bose Solo 5 Soundbar, and the super-cozy bedding. Amenities were complete as well!
But here’s something you don’t get just anywhere: you can have a Fender guitar delivered right to your room, thanks to their Sound of Your Stay program.

So whether you’re a casual strummer or secret rock god, you can jam in privacy without disturbing anyone.
Oh, and the rainfall shower after a long day? Total bliss.
Dinner at Sessions – A Buffet That Delivers
For dinner, we headed to Sessions, Hard Rock’s famous dining spot. We caught them on a buffet night, and it was a feast.
From fresh sushi and sashimi, to Korean spicy seafood gochujang, and Western mains like grilled chicken, sausages, and beef with mushroom or BBQ sauce, it was the international food tour we didn’t know we needed.
And yes, live music kicked in right after.
The band performance covers were great, the vibe was chill, and it felt like the perfect way to unwind after a day of travel.
Night Vibes & Chill Energy
If you’re the type who likes to wind down rather than turn up, there’s still plenty to enjoy.
Grab a drink, enjoy the music, or just hang back and soak in the resort’s cool, effortless energy. It’s that rare kind of place that’s exciting and relaxing all at once.
Day 2 – Waterpark Mode: Activated!
We kicked off Day 2 with a peaceful continental breakfast at the Rock Royalty Lounge, and it was a lovely experience.
It’s quiet, exclusive, and perfect if you’re staying in one of the higher-tier rooms or suites.
With complimentary refreshments, a chilled-out atmosphere, and no buffet crowd, it really set the tone for a relaxing day ahead.
Then, it was time to suit up and head over to Adventure Waterpark Desaru Coast! This isn’t just any waterpark; it’s one of the biggest in the world.
Between the first-of-its-kind water coaster, giant wave pool, and over 20 rides and slides, we spent hours splashing, sliding, and floating.
There’s something for everyone, from adrenaline junkies to the more chill crowd.

After drying off from the waterpark madness, we headed over to Elephant and the Butterfly, the hotel’s poolside bar and eatery.
You can lounge with a drink in hand, grab a bite to eat, and watch the kids continue splashing around in the pool, all without breaking a sweat. 
It’s casual, breezy, and honestly, a great way to recharge.
Shop, Then Drop: Rock Shop!
Before heading back to the room, we couldn’t resist a quick detour to the Rock Shop. 
From classic Hard Rock tees to collectible pins and edgy accessories, it’s a merch haven for music lovers and souvenir hunters!
Safe to say, we did not leave empty-handed and were all smiles the entire time.
