While it is almost normal to hear the sound of fireworks during festivals, it can sometimes cause problems if they are not set off late at night. Residents in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, have been outraged by an incident. It has been alleged that a group of people were creating noise pollution by bursting fireworks and crackers in a residential area late into the night.

The issue came to the fore after multiple posts about the incident were shared on social media threads. Many residents said that such activities were disrupting their normal lives by breaking the silence of the night. As a result, new concerns have been raised about peace and security in the area.

Face-to-face Protests

In a viral post, a man can be seen directly confronting the group. He requests them to go somewhere else and set off fireworks. At the same time, he asks them to use common sense. This is because the area is densely populated and many families live there.

The incident is said to have taken place between 2 and 3 am. The video of the protest quickly spread on social media, and various reactions were seen.

Noise Pollution Allegations

Residents have complained not only about the sound of fireworks but also about the loud noise of car engines. According to the complaint, the group was creating excessive noise by running the car engines loudly.

As a result, the sleep of the people around was disturbed. Especially since this noise continues for a long time, many feel mentally disturbed. Residents feel that such behavior is harmful to the entire community. Therefore, they have demanded immediate action.

Proximity to Hospital

The issue has become more sensitive as the area is close to a hospital. It is alleged that sudden loud noise is causing panic among children and the elderly. Many parents said that their young children are crying due to the sound of fireworks.

Besides, this noise can also be harmful to the sick. Therefore, residents feel that it is important to stop such activities. They have sought the intervention of the authorities.

Netizens’ Reaction

Many netizens on social media praised the man’s courage. They feel that it is not an easy task to protest alone. However, some users have also advised him to be careful. Because facing it alone can be risky.

Many have also complained that the same incident has been happening for multiple nights. As a result, fears have been expressed that the situation could worsen if it is not resolved quickly.

According to a post, a man confronted a group who were reportedly playing with fireworks and firecrackers near the neighbourhood until approximately 2 AM to 3 AM. In the post, the man could be heard telling them to move elsewhere and to be more considerate of others living in the area. He also urged the group to use some common sense, noting that the area is densely populated and such behaviour causes unnecessary distress.
