Viral Video Sparks Attention

A video online depicting a man dressed in a black t-shirt screaming and crying outside what appears to be a major integrated resort on Sentosa Island has been quickly spreading on social media.

Screengrab of Facebook Video

The earliest video appears to be from 19 September, and the man is seen standing and shouting before falling to the floor and laying down near the resort entrance.

The clip ends with him being detained by security personnel.

In the footage, the man appeared visibly upset, as bystanders looked on. Onlookers filmed the encounter, and one particular clip has since circulated widely online.

While security officers were later seen detaining him, the reason for his distress remains unclear.

Online Speculation and Reactions

On social media, many speculated that the outburst may have allegedly been linked to gambling losses inside the resort.

One user kindly advised the man to stop gambling.

No official statement has been issued to confirm the circumstances.

Casino Entry Requirements at RWS

According to their website, to enter Resorts World Sentosa’s casino, Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents must pay a mandatory entry levy: S$150 for a day pass or S$3,000 for an annual pass. The levy is non-refundable and non-transferable, and applies only to locals. Non-residents may enter without paying, but must present valid identification such as a passport or work pass.

Those who enter without paying the levy face fines of up to S$1,000 under the Casino Control Act, and entry is restricted to individuals aged 21 and above.

What Remains Unknown

While speculation continues, the cause of the man’s outburst has not been confirmed.
