Tech Upgrades Gone Wrong For Cats
A local cat owner wanted to make life easier by buying an automatic feeder, but it ended up causing complete chaos.
These plastic smart gadgets are supposed to be a total lifesaver for people who work long hours at the office. The phone app just drops the kibble on a set timer so your pet gets fed while you are stuck in traffic or sitting in endless meetings.

It promises peace of mind. For one local cat, though, it felt like an attack.
The Shocking Betrayal
The poor kitty obviously did not get the memo about this fancy new lifestyle upgrade. The whole mess started right at lunchtime when the curious cat walked over to sniff the weird plastic box sitting in the kitchen.
Just as its nose touched the edge, the internal timer went off. The machine made a loud, aggressive clanking noise and instantly dumped a pile of food into the metal dish.

The cat completely lost its mind. It bolted like a flash of lightning, caught massive air, and basically flew straight up out of pure terror.
Safe Distance Surveillance
What happened right after the robotic food drop was absolutely hilarious.
The cat refused to take a single step on the kitchen floor and totally abandoned its lunch. Instead, it ran off to hide in the highest spot it could find on top of the bedroom wardrobe.
From all the way up there, the furry friend just stared down at the kitchen with huge, suspicious eyes. It was 100% convinced its owner had hired a mechanical hitman to hunt it down rather than a helpful lunch dispenser.

The Smart Feeder Lifesaver
Even with the huge panic, these high-tech machines are still a major game changer for working pet parents.
Most new models connect straight to your home Wi-Fi, letting you drop snacks from your office desk or watch your pet live on a built-in webcam.
They even have backup batteries if the house power cuts out. It is super convenient for humans. Too bad this terrified cat clearly needs weeks to get used to the machine before ever trusting the robot butler again.
