“Must Be Their First Time Driving in JB”—Singaporean Car Gets Stuck in Johor Motorbike Lane

In a surprising twist that left many online viewers chuckling, a Singaporean-registered Mercedes found itself in a rather tight spot—literally.

A white car was captured on video as it attempted to navigate through a lane at the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine (BSI) complex in Johor Bahru. However, this wasn’t just any lane—it was one specifically designed for motorcycles, making the Mercedes’ struggle both puzzling and amusing.

Determined but Doomed Effort

The video, shared by TikTok user @/123iloveyoumuah, shows the driver persistently trying to maneuver the car through the narrow motorbike lane, reversing and moving forward several times in what appeared to be a stubborn attempt to fit.

The scene left viewers in stitches as the car, much too large for the lane, simply couldn’t make it through.

Netizens React with Humor

As the video gained traction online, the comment section quickly filled with humorous takes on the driver’s predicament.

One user sarcastically remarked that the driver must have forgotten they were in a car, joking that the barrier usually lets them through but got stuck this time because they “forgot they were driving on four wheels today.”

“This barrier usually lets me through, why am I stuck today? Oh, I forgot I’m driving on four wheels today”

Another commenter quipped that it must be the driver’s first time driving to Johor Bahru and Malaysia.

“This must be his first time driving in Malaysia.”

Another commenter added to the humor by sarcastically suggesting that the car was trying to be a bike, poking fun at the driver’s attempt to squeeze the Mercedes through the motorcycle lane.

Importance of Road Awareness

While the incident provided a good laugh, it also served as a reminder to stay alert and pay attention to signs, especially when navigating unfamiliar routes.

In the end, this small mishap didn’t cause any harm, but it did bring some joy and entertainment to those who witnessed it, both in person and online. As the video continues to circulate, it’s safe to say that this driver’s misadventure will be remembered as a lesson in why size—and lane—really does matter.
