Concerts to Proceed as Scheduled
The much-anticipated BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR IN BANGKOK will go on as planned, according to the event’s official organisers. The concerts are being held from 24–26 October at Rajamangala National Stadium, one of Thailand’s largest and most famous venues. Despite the nation’s mourning period following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, organisers confirmed that the shows will continue until 26 October.
The event schedule remains unchanged, but several respectful adjustments have been made to honour the Queen Mother. Fans are encouraged to follow the new guidelines shared by the organisers on social media platforms.
A Call for Respect and Unity
In a heartfelt statement, the organisers said:
“In observance of, and to demonstrate our deep respect for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, we kindly ask all attendees of the ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR <DEADLINE> IN BANGKOK’ concerts at Rajamangala Stadium on 25 and 26 October to wear black or white attire as a mark of mourning and respect.”
This message quickly spread online, with fans across Thailand and neighbouring countries expressing their support. Many shared photos of their planned black-and-white outfits on social media, turning the concert into a powerful tribute to the late Queen Mother.
Several fans said they were proud to join this respectful gesture, combining their love for BLACKPINK with national unity.
Fans’ Emotional Response
Tickets for the concerts had sold out months in advance, and fans had been eagerly preparing for the shows. When news of the mourning period was announced, many were uncertain whether the event would still take place. The confirmation brought a sense of relief and appreciation, as fans can now celebrate both music and memory in harmony.
Local communities near the stadium have also expressed support by decorating nearby areas with white flowers and ribbons, creating a calm and respectful atmosphere for concertgoers.
