Iran Says Diplomacy Being Undermined
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Friday that the US’s approach to peace talks has hindered the diplomatic process as Tehran and Washington remain at an impasse over an agreement to end the conflict.

“One of our problems is that the Americans frequently make contradictory statements, conflicting messages, and unreasonable exaggerations, all of which run counter to any path of negotiation or diplomacy,” said Araghchi.
New Delhi Summit Focuses Diplomacy
Araghchi made the remarks on the sidelines of the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meetings held in New Delhi on May 14 and 15 under India’s chairmanship.

He also claimed that Washington ‘expressed a willingness’ to continue talks, after President Trump rejected Tehran’s latest response, calling it ‘totally unacceptable’ and ‘garbage’, and warned that the ceasefire was on ‘life support’.
Strait Of Hormuz Remains Focus
During his landmark visit to China, Trump confirmed that he discussed the Iranian conflict with President Xi, claiming Beijing supports the ending of the war and reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
