Emergency Transport Ends in Second Crash
After a serious crash, emergency responders rushed injured officers to a nearby hospital before transferring them to a major trauma facility in Jodhpur. To ensure a swift transfer, authorities created a “green corridor”—a cleared traffic route—to expedite the ambulance’s journey.
However, just as the ambulance reached Mathura Das Mathur Hospital in Jodhpur around 1:40 PM, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The ambulance crashed into the wall of the trauma ward, injuring an additional senior police officer who had been waiting to receive the injured.
Police Vehicle Collides with Civilian Car in Initial Crash
In a serious road accident in the northwestern Indian state of Rajasthan, a police vehicle collided head-on with a civilian SUV on a national highway, injuring four officers. The incident occurred on 4 April, near the town of Balotra on National Highway 25.

The police SUV, a Mahindra TUV, was carrying officers en route from Jodhpur to Barmer when it struck a Hyundai Creta driven by a local government official, who was traveling with his family. The force of the collision caused the police vehicle to overturn into roadside vegetation, injuring all four officers inside.
Crash Footage Draws Attention Online
A video of the ambulance slamming into the hospital wall has been widely circulated on Indian social media platforms.
The incident raised public concern over the handling of emergency medical transport and the safety protocols for both road and hospital environments.
Viewers unfortunately responded lightheartedly, without having context on the incident.
Hospital Impact and Additional Injuries
The second crash injured Additional Superintendent of Police Bhopal Singh, who sustained minor injuries. An attendant inside the ambulance was also thrown from his seat due to the impact. The collision damaged the hospital’s wall and shattered nearby glass panels.
Among the injured, Constable Anil Chaudhary is in critical condition. The other officers, including ASP Arvind Vishnoi and ASI Hukam Singh, are recovering with less severe injuries. The occupants of the civilian SUV suffered only minor injuries and were treated and discharged from the first hospital.
