For the avid hikers, climb to the top of Singapore’s highest elevation point which reaches a height of 163metres. All you have to do is follow the directions for the summit path for a great view that is not only breathtaking but good for your health too!
Qian Hu Fish Farm
Want to go longkang (drain) fishing? Qian Hu Fish Farm lets you purchase or bring your own nets to catch some tiny fishes for 30mins (from $7/pax). A complimentary plastic tank is provided for you to store and bring home the fishes or treat yourself to a fish spa at $10 for 30mins for adults or $5 for 30mins for children. You are able to purchase fishes as well as fish tank accessories here when you visit to make your very own aquarium at home.
Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve
Discover the beauty and wonders of nature at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. Uncover a world filled with rich biodiversity as you wander through the wetlands with an extensive mangrove forest that is filled with wildlife alongside local flora and fauna. Recognised as a site of international importance for migratory birds, visit during the months from September to March to catch sight of the diverse flocks of shorebirds or waders including plovers and sandpipers.
Jurong Frog Farm
Available on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays, take the chance to catch your very own frog at Jurong Frog Farm or feed these amphibians with a large appetite. This is an up close and personal view that will make for a great experience no matter the age. If you are feeling up to it, why not try some Deep Fried Cajun Frog Meat ($15) or Crispy Frog Skin Chicharon ($6) that is available on their Farm Fresh menu on the weekends?
