A Sudden Flash Over Phuket
A mysterious green light streaked across Phuket’s night sky, turning an otherwise ordinary drive into a bizarre few seconds. Footage captured at night shows a bright flash appearing above the road before moving across the dark sky and disappearing.

The light is strikingly bright, with a greenish glow that can be seen clearly against the surrounding darkness. There is no obvious object visible behind it, leaving viewers with very little to go on. The entire moment happens so quickly that anyone looking away for even a second could easily miss it.
The footage starts off pretty normal, with a nighttime road, streetlights and cars passing by. Then, out of nowhere, a bright green streak suddenly flashes across the sky.
It seems to travel quickly before fading away, with the camera continuing along the road as if nothing happened. Because the recording was made at night and appears to have been filmed from a moving vehicle, judging the light’s exact distance, size and speed is difficult. What looks like a large object on camera could have been much farther away than it appears.
The colour is another detail that has caught attention. Rather than appearing as a standard white light, the streak has a noticeable green tint. The green flash was gone almost as quickly as it appeared. There was no obvious trail or clear shape, so it’s hard to tell what exactly was flying across the sky. The video catches the moment, but not enough detail to solve the mystery.
So, What Was That Green Glow?
One theory is that it could have been a meteor. Meteors can light up the sky when they enter Earth’s atmosphere, and some can even glow green. But from this footage alone, there’s no way to say for sure that’s what people saw. The clip does not provide details such as the light’s full trajectory, how long it remained visible or whether people elsewhere saw the same thing.

Other explanations cannot be ruled out either. It could’ve been an aircraft, a flare, or just another light seen from far away. Nighttime camera footage can also make bright lights look pretty different from how they actually appeared.Without more footage or information from witnesses in other parts of Phuket, identifying the source would be difficult.
Viewers Are Left With Questions
The short appearance has left viewers trying to figure out what crossed the sky. The footage gives a clear glimpse of the bright streak, but not enough detail to settle the mystery. The camera’s position and movement also make it difficult to work out the direction the light was travelling. Even its apparent speed is hard to estimate because there are no fixed points in the sky that can be used for comparison.

For now, the green flash remains unexplained. More recordings from around Phuket could potentially show whether the light was visible across a wider area and whether it followed a consistent path. Reports from other people who saw the same event could also help establish how long it lasted and how it looked from different locations.
Until those details emerge, the footage captures little more than a strange flash cutting through Phuket’s night sky bright, quick and gone almost as soon as it appeared.
