Dubai has introduced a new initiative offering rewards to residents who invite overseas guests to visit the emirate. The programme, called “Dubai Invite”, aims to encourage more tourism by allowing residents to bring their friends and family members while receiving benefits in return.
The initiative was launched by the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai. Under the programme, residents who successfully nominate visitors can receive packages that include hotel discounts, dining experiences and attraction tickets across the city.
Residents living in the United Arab Emirates city can receive benefits worth up to AED3,000 (around SGD1,100) for each eligible guest they invite. The programme is available from 20 July to 31 October, allowing residents several months to participate.
Residents Can Invite Guests
Through the Dubai Invite programme, residents can nominate up to five visitors at a time. They need to provide the visitors’ details and expected arrival dates through the official Visit Dubai nomination form.
To qualify, guests must be non-UAE residents who enter Dubai with a valid tourist visa. Visitors can arrive by air, sea or road, as long as they meet the programme requirements.
The offer is open to citizens and residents of any nationality aged 18 and above, provided they have a valid Emirates ID. Those who want to invite relatives or friends from abroad can apply through the programme.
After authorities confirm that the nominated guest has arrived in Dubai, residents will receive an email explaining how to access and use their benefits package.
Tourism Recovery Efforts Continue
Dubai welcomed almost 20 million international tourists in 2025. However, travel activity was affected earlier this year after disruptions to commercial flights and travel warnings linked to regional tensions, including the Iran-US conflict.
The Dubai Invite programme is part of efforts to encourage international visitors to return and experience the city’s hotels, restaurants and attractions.
The Visit Dubai website described residents as an important connection between Dubai and potential visitors. The programme encourages people to invite loved ones to experience the city while receiving special offers.
The available rewards include hotel discounts, free attraction tickets and dining deals. Some offers include a 45 per cent discount on stays at Melia Desert Palm hotel, a free ticket to Aquaventure World and a two-for-one offer at The 305 beach club on Palm Jumeirah.
Benefits Available Until 2026
Other benefits under the Dubai The invite programme includes discounts on taxi services and reduced prices at selected restaurants across the city.
The rewards can be used until 31 December 2026, giving visitors and residents more time to enjoy the offers after completing the nomination process.
Dubai continues to promote itself as a global tourism destination with its wide range of hotels, entertainment attractions and international events.
Through the new programme, authorities hope to increase visitor numbers by encouraging residents to personally invite friends and family members from overseas.
