Police arrested five foreign nationals to assist ongoing investigations into the fatal stabbing of a man whose body was found on a park bench in Bandar Mahkota Cheras on Monday morning.

The victim was discovered unconscious near a local residential area at about 8.40am. Responding officers secured the scene to begin their initial inquiries into the situation and gather early evidence.

Victim Identified By Police

Police identified the deceased as a foreign man in his 20s. His body was found wrapped in a plastic bag on a park bench in Bandar Mahkota Cheras. Police records also showed that the victim worked near the area where he was discovered earlier this week.

Local authorities kept further personal details brief while standard protocols were followed. Investigators are working diligently to piece together the sequence of events leading up to the tragic incident.

Five Suspects In Custody

Kajang district police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof stated that all five arrested suspects are aged between their 20s and 30s. Preliminary screenings confirmed that drug tests on all detainees returned negative results.

One suspect was arrested on Tuesday and remanded for six days. The remaining four suspects appeared before the Kajang Magistrate’s Court for their scheduled remand applications.

Motive Still Under Investigation

A formal post-mortem examination was later conducted on the victim. Medical examiners confirmed that the man died from severe abdominal haemorrhaging caused directly by multiple stab wounds.

Police stated that they are still actively investigating the exact motive behind the fatal attack. Authorities are gathering more details while the court process continues.
