Robots Make Debut
Chinese robotics company UBTECH unveiled what it described as the world’s first full-size hyper-bionic humanoid robots designed for mass production at its Global Launch Event in Shenzhen on June 30.
Footage published on Thursday shows dozens of humanoid robots walking and dancing alongside humans on the runway during the launch.

The UWORLD U1 Series features more than 50 humanoid robots in a range of appearances and body types, standing between 1.6 and 1.85 metres tall. The line-up includes a male model measuring 183 centimetres and a female model standing 168 centimetres, both designed to closely replicate human proportions and movement.
Thousands Of Orders
“As of the day of the launch, cumulative orders for the UWORLD U1 Series had surpassed 13,361 units,” UBTECH ROBOTICS said.

Held under the theme Endless Love, the company described the event as a step towards redefining human-robot interaction, calling it the start of a “new era of hyper-bionic coexistence – from body to emotion, from symbiosis to resonance”.
Advanced AI Features
According to UBTECH, each robot is equipped with 88 high-degree-of-freedom joints, enabling highly realistic movement and gestures.

The company also said the robots feature the ‘world’s first emotion-aware large language model’, capable of recognising more than 20 emotional states and responding in real time, within 500 milliseconds, with 90 percent accuracy.
The robots support Wi-Fi connectivity and can operate continuously for between two and four hours on a single charge, making them suitable for everyday household interaction according to UBTECH.
