Sanchita Ugale, a rising Indian television actress known for her work in popular drama series and digital productions, has died at the age of 22.

The young performer reportedly died by suicide on June 14 at her residence in Nalasopara East, Maharashtra, leaving the entertainment industry shocked by the sudden loss of a promising talent.
Found at Home in Critical Condition
According to reports, the incident took place at her family home in the Sai Santoshi building. Between 7:00 pm and 7:30 pm, Ugale was found in her room in a critical condition following an apparent act of self-harm.

Family members and neighbours quickly rushed her to Vasai-Virar Municipal Hospital in an attempt to save her life. However, doctors declared her dead upon arrival. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. At this stage, officials have not announced any confirmed reason behind her death.
Career Across Television and Streaming Platforms
Despite her young age, Ugale had already built a growing career in India’s entertainment industry. She first gained recognition through television dramas and appeared in several well-known series.
Among her notable projects were Kumkum Bhagya and Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey, both popular among Indian television audiences. She also played the lead character Sukoon in the drama Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi, which helped strengthen her presence on television.

Her work was not limited to television. Ugale also expanded into streaming platforms, taking roles in several digital productions that introduced her to a wider audience.
Rising Star Remembered
The actress appeared in Prime Video’s Crime Aaj Kal, a crime anthology series hosted by actor Vikrant Massey. She was also part of ZEE5’s Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout, starring Manoj Bajpayee. In addition, reports noted her involvement in the historical drama Chhaava.
Over the past few years, Ugale had steadily established herself as a versatile performer across television, OTT platforms and film projects. Her career was still in its early stages, making her death all the more unexpected for many who followed her work.
Investigations into the case are ongoing, and authorities have yet to release further details regarding the circumstances surrounding her death.
