Overpass Collapse Kills Three In Seoul
A section of an overpass under demolition in Seoul collapsed on Tuesday, killing three people and injuring three others.

Footage shows the aftermath with responders inspecting the collapse and police officers cordoning off the area. Several emergency vehicles can also be seen on standby.
Residents Describe Fears Over Structure
“It’s really tragic, and I offer my condolences to the victims. It’s very unfortunate,” a local remarked.
“They didn’t demolish it quickly, and it stayed there for a long time, so it felt dangerous. I had a feeling something like this could happen, and now it has,” he continued.

The collapse reportedly occurred during a safety inspection after workers detected signs of instability in the structure the previous night. The demolition was suspended pending safety inspection.
Officials cited structural defects in the overpass, which was built in 1966, as the reason for its planned demolition.
