A funny pet video from Indonesia has captured online attention after a clever cat stole fried chicken directly from a young boy during lunchtime. The short clip quickly spread across social media platforms because of the animal’s surprisingly fast and bold actions inside the family home.

The video begins with a young boy sitting alone at a low table while eating lunch. A large yellow plate filled with fried chicken sits in front of him. At the same time, the child watches videos on his smartphone, which stands upright on the table beside his meal. He doesn’t see his pet cat, who is watching him carefully behind him as he is engrossed in his phone screen.
Cat Waits Patiently
The tabby cat sits by the boy and carefully puts both of her front paws on top of the boy’s shoulder and slyly observes the food. Although the animal appears relaxed, it seems to be waiting for the perfect opportunity to grab a piece of chicken. The boy picks up a crispy chicken part and lifts it close to his mouth moments later.

The cat suddenly moves with great speed just prior to the child’s bite. One paw extends and the claws grab a piece of fried chicken. The surprised boy tries to stop the cat, but it is too fast for the boy’s hands to keep it.
The cat snaps up the chicken and pulls it back from the boy’s hand as soon as they hand it to each other. The unexpected event happens, and the child is startled, and his food disappears in an instant.
Fast Escape Stored on Video
Once the cat has stolen the food, it runs off to the floor, and then it runs toward the open door. The camera follows the animal as it proudly carries the large piece of fried chicken through the house.

The cat later disappears onto the outdoor tiled terrace before vanishing into the yard. Meanwhile, the boy remains seated at the table holding nothing in his hand. He slowly turns around and looks toward the doorway, appearing unable to believe what just happened.
Fried Food Risks For Pets
The amusing video attracted widespread attention because many pet owners have experienced similar situations while eating near animals at home. Cats and dogs often become interested in human food, especially meals with strong smells like fried chicken.

But animal health experts cautioned that fried foods are not a good choice for pets. If fed repeatedly, oils, salt, and seasoning may lead to stomach upset and other health issues in cats.
