Flash floods in Malaysia’s Klang Valley can happen very quickly, turning a normal drive into a dangerous situation. Heavy rain can fill roads and tunnels within minutes, leaving drivers with little time to react. During one recent storm, several vehicles became trapped in rising water in Petaling Jaya.

Sudden Flood in Ara Damansara

The incident took place at the FAS Tunnel along Jalan PJU 1A/4F in Ara Damansara. As the rain continued, water levels rose fast inside the tunnel. Several cars were unable to move, and drivers were left stranded in the flood.

At that moment, four police officers from the Patrol Car Unit of the Petaling Jaya District Police Headquarters arrived at the scene. Without delay, they entered the flooded area to help those in danger.

Officers Step In to Help

The officers were identified as Corporal Ahmad Safuan Zulkipli, Corporal Hisham Hashim, Lance Corporal Mohamad Taufik Ibrahim, and Lance Corporal Muhammad Hafiz Azmi. A video later showed them walking through the water, which had reached a risky level.

They worked together to push stalled vehicles out of the tunnel. At the same time, they guided drivers and passengers to safer ground. Their actions helped prevent further danger as the water continued to rise.

The situation required quick thinking and strong teamwork. The officers focused on moving people out of harm’s way while also clearing the blocked vehicles.

All Victims Brought to Safety

According to local reports, all motorists trapped in the tunnel were safely rescued. No injuries were reported during the incident. The operation was completed without further problems, even as the rain continued.
