A quiet afternoon in Kota Kinabalu suddenly turned chaotic after a teacher’s car was chased and damaged in a shocking roadside incident. The case quickly gained attention online after videos began spreading across social media, showing a group of men surrounding a vehicle near a busy traffic junction.

The incident reportedly took place on Saturday afternoon near Jesselton Quay, not far from the Kota Kinabalu port area. According to police, the situation began shortly after the teacher had attended an event at the Sabah International Convention Centre. What started as a normal day soon escalated into something far more serious.

A Sudden Confrontation

Initial reports suggest the teacher was heading back to his car in a nearby parking area when he encountered several individuals believed to be workers at a warehouse. A verbal argument broke out between them, though the exact cause remains unclear. The tension grew quickly, creating a stressful and unpredictable situation.

During the exchange, the teacher attempted to leave the area by reversing his vehicle. In the process, he accidentally hit another car. This moment appears to have triggered an aggressive reaction from the group, turning the situation from a verbal dispute into a dangerous chase.

Chase and Damage

Witnesses and viral footage show several men chasing the teacher’s vehicle as he tried to drive away. The group reportedly acted violently, smashing the driver-side window and breaking the rear windscreen. Glass fragments were later seen scattered inside the car, along with visible dents on its body.

The teacher also claimed that he was threatened and pressured to get out of the vehicle during the attack. The incident unfolded in broad daylight, raising concerns among the public about safety in busy urban areas.

Police acted quickly after receiving a report later that afternoon. Within a short time, five local men were detained to assist with the investigation. Authorities confirmed that further action, including remand procedures, would follow as they continue to gather evidence.

The case is currently being investigated under laws related to property damage and criminal intimidation. As the videos continue to circulate online, many people are closely watching how the situation will develop in the coming days.
