A ten-storied residential building in central Beirut’s Bashoura district on Wednesday collapsed after Israeli missile strike.
Footage shows a building getting a light hit on the roof and collapsing after a heavier attack reaches the ground floor some time later. Emergency services could also be seen working on site following the attack.
No casualties have been reported at the time of publication
The Israeli military had issued a warning identifying a specific building, stating it intended to act against what it described as a Hezbollah-affiliated facility in the area.
The strikes come amid a widening regional conflict following joint strikes by the United States and Israel against Iran on February 28.
Tehran has since launched retaliatory strikes targeting Israel and US assets across the region, with the conflict expanding to include cross-border exchanges involving Hezbollah.
During the escalation, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed and later succeeded by his son Mojtaba Khamenei.
The fighting has also disrupted shipping routes, including the Strait of Hormuz, pushing oil prices above $100 per barrel and adding pressure to global markets.
